Logo is nice. Forum is good just a little dull, try a nicer background, hold a contest on this site, or get inspiration from other sites. Change the grey your using to a lighter shade of grey. Also try to make the icons on the top right for contact us and everything different or get rid of them.

It has a nice vibe to it, a little bit more design and this will look very nice.

 

Logo is "OK" but not sure how it relates to the site? Try a few logo design sites and see what they come up with. A very good site that is dirt cheap is cheapbusinesslogos .com. For $47 you can get 6 different designs made, have them revised as much as you want, and then you get to pick the best one you like. I've used them several times and still can't figure out why they are so cheap when the quality is so good and the turnaround time so fast (although I'm not complaining!).

Site speed is good, no problems navigating.

Design wise it's mediocre at best. The trouble is you're using forum software, which at best is only mediocre anyway. Do you have a front end to the site or do you send your visitor/subscriber right into the forum? If you don't have a front end I would HIGHLY suggest one. When the visitor arrives at www disqusin .com there should be a marketing page first that gives them a better idea of what's in it for them and why they should subscribe. Then, AFTER they log in they see the forum itself.

And, speaking of the forum, who is your target market? At first I thought it was the job seeking market (which can be profitable) but then you have threads for celebrity gossip, recipes and a bunch of other completely unrelated stuff... not sure where you were going with that?

Forums are ALWAYS targeting towards a specific niche (at least profitable ones...). Trying to appeal to too many unrelated groups is going to hurt you in the long run. If the job market is what you after, and it appears that way, drop all the other stuff and focus.

I'm going to keep an eye on this one - I think you have a good concept and I'm curious to see what changes you make...

I too was confused by the purpose of the site. Maybe you could change the text in your logo to say what the site is. Also, I find the menu bar unprofessional -- I've never liked hover effects that change the font size and cause images to move around.

 

menu is cool i may be problem of browsers
