Hello Everyone, I am thinking about setting up a paid hosting website, I have run a free hosting website and have 50,000+ members who are looking to upgrade to paid hosting, and many of them have suggested I try and set up a paid hosting website for them to use. But I want to know how hard it is to set up and run? What do I have to do if someone decides to host with our company? Do I have to set up there account? What does it involve? Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Thank you Jonathan
People who think they can make a quick buck offering some web hosting typically get quickly overwhelmed by the customer service required to keep the clients happy, -Raymond
It's true. A lot more is expected from a paid host - mainly as they're paying for it It can be as simple or as complex as you like. Like a few posts above, get a good billing system and a nice site - along with a good support system, as this is critical to your business running smoothly. Don't rely on single mailboxes to track all requests. Jay
Thanks for all the feedback, how much work is involved? Would I be expected to set up all the accounts or can I get a script that does it for me? Thanks
