Guys, I am thinking about organizing a big contest, a really good one. My goal: to get more subscribers for our blog. I was running our first contest a couple of month ago and it went fine, but now I have more experience with that and know that I want to set up at least 3 levels of sponsorships. And I want the Grand Prize to be in cash - this is an every blogger's dream. There are lots of contest with Entrecard's cash and other non-cash prizes, but what most bloggers would really love to get is a a couple of hundreds of extra cash. Here is the question: what would be your approach for inviting potential companies as sponsors? It seems as an easy question, but it's not. Don't be afraid to speak up here, every opinion counts! I will add "reputation" to everyone who is giving a great tip for my question!
Like many out there, I would sign up for the money, then stop posting after the contest. Sorry. But, hey, if you say it works, good luck with it.
Email marketing is a great idea, but I'm not too sure. I guess you could just post on Craigslist every couple of hours.
