By creating more and more links with relevant anchor you could make better in yahoo...
But those links may be nofollow and the links you building up.
In seo optimization there is only difference between yahoo and Google is "sitemap".
No more than that, if there is any technique than you need to ready for losing G ranking.

    Hi,

Getting a top listing in Yahoo is quiet simple, when you have achieved it in Google. Try to get relevant quality links for your site and make sure that you have submitted your site in site explorer of Yahoo.

Dont waste your money, if you rank well in Yahoo then in a short while you will soon rank well in Yahoo.

Yahoo just take a bit longer to see the effect of your work they are not big into change and like older things much more they also like bigger sites genrally too. The thing with Yahoo is they are not so strict with quality of links loads of poor quality links work fine in Yahoo just be sure to use the words your targeting as anchor text.

I have never had any problems ranking well in Yahoo and currently have loads of sites in top positions in Yahoo.

    What dont you agree with?

I currently also have loads of sites ranking well in Google, Yahoo and MSN, thats my point I dont get why he is having problems and is prepared to pay somebody on here to do it. When to be honest most of them will only rip him off cos they dont have a clue what they are doing when it comes to SEO and is why they have to ask stupid questions on here asking the basics of SEO.

In my experience Yahoo (and MSN) are less discerning than Google, so in a sense it's easier to rank there. But harder to maintain a good ranking because it's so easy for new sites to get to the top, therefore there is always a lot of flux in yahoo rankings. In comparison Google and Ask have quite stable rankings (although it varies due to keyword, competitive activity, datacenters and whatnot).

That said I have seen a few sites that have some decent Google rankings but Yahoo and MSN show nothing..

Anyway my advice is, make some changes to your content and tweak your titles (nothing major but using keywords, maybe make the titles more concise), that might bring something up on Yahoo, since it likes recently changed sites. If after a month that has no impact (you'll need ranking software to monitor this), review your inbound links and content in comparison to a sample of top sites in your market. Then address where you're lacking, for 90% of sites that will be - build quality relevant and varied links (relatively slowly), and regularly add new unique relevant content.

Avoid (or remove) links to or from shady neighbourhoods and you can't go wrong. If Yahoo still ignores you then, F*#$ 'em their search is pants. Ignore them and play to your strengths.

Yahoo likes slightly more keywords in your page than Google, so striking a balance to rank well in both can be a bit of an art because if you overstep the keyword density values Google will drop you down.

For instance i rank first page for "SEO Company" in both search engines, and it was a slight juggle.. Nobody else ranks in both for the term. I was first page in MSN also for quite a while but i just checked and i've dropped to #13 i think it was.. However their traffic is not worth changing anything for.

The fact you don't want to change your page makes your request difficult, so really it leaves you with trying to get links from sites ranked high in Yahoo for your niche and maybe considering a $299 Yahoo Directory listing.

Well if that's the case and you don't want to modify your existing pages that just leaves, getting links from sites ranking high in Yahoo and creating new pages more geared for Yahoo rankings.

You could easily rank in yahoo, do keyword stuffing in the content.
yahoo like all that Google does not like.
