need webmail script for my website

    Hello

I'd really like to offer a webmail service to vistors on www.amour.ro, I always wanted to do that. Is there anyone who could give me a piece of advice on this issue (I hope I'm posting this in the right section of DP forums).
Which would be the best alternative as a script: I've heard of SquirrelMail. Would this be a good choice?
I'm also thinking if this is not going to use too many resources (size on server, bandwidth) and I wonder if a Google Adsense unit on the login page would cover the cost of the webhosting (I know it is not allowed on logged in pages). Of course, POP3 would be better than just webmail, but in this case I wonder if the costs will not surpass the income.
I don't have the intention of making profit of it in the first place, just to have it as an additional service to the visitors, as currently their don't really get in line in order to visit the site (only about 50/day).

    Any thoughts ?

    Thanks.

Hmm AdSense on WebMail sites. That's an idea. I could do that with my hosting clients. Put ads in the email messages. Wonder how that would be received? I don't think they'd care if it wasn't intrusive.

You are going to have a hard time getting adsense in email messages. Google has to be able to grab the page to determine the ads to show. They only way this would work would allow the email to be world readable, not a very good idea.

I thought that wasn't allowed, only on the login page, but actually as I reviewed Google's Terms and Conditions, they say that publishers may not "display any Ad(s) or Link(s) on any error page, on any registration or "thank you" page, on any chat page, in any email, or on any Web page or any Web site that contains any pornographic, hate-related, violent, or illegal content."
Does it mean that it is allowed to display ads in webmail messages? (as long as the users do not talk about porn, hate, violence and illegal stuff).

I think the "in any email" clause would mean NO. Oh well, it was an idea. I thought AdSense got the page content using JavaScript and didn't actually crawl the page. I've yet to use AdSense, so that would explain why I didn't know. Just figured that would be the best way for them to gather the pages content.

I'm still hoping that someone will help me: I'd like to offer a free web-based email to visitors.
Please kindly advise: a good script decently secure and customizable.

    10x!
