I am currently in ixWebhosting but lately I frequently encounter technical problems with them.

If i am to transfer webhosts could you give advise what companies to consider.

I am planning to have an image site and might need high bandwidth and storage.

    please advise

Are you looking only for shared hosting, or would you go bigger (VPS, dedicated)?

What sort of specifications are you looking for in terms of space and bandwidth?

Also do you have any software requirements? Such as PHP5, MySQL5, Ruby on Rails ect.

i really dont have enough knowledge in this area... but i will try to describe what i need

i have current sites that utilize about 1GB space and 60GB bandwidth (PHP mysql)
i'm planning to include a DIGITAL SHOP (member submitted files) === basically will need the most DISKSPACE possible and a reasonable bandwidth

i don't know if that would require a dedicated server , if it does pls let me know.

All i know is that a dedicated server isn't cheap :D

i've been looking around for webhosting companies their price are good (<$15) but i have no idea if the support and service is good.

    please advise

Always go with a host who is reliable and is available 24x7 with maximum uptime guarantee. If you have a good budget you can think of getting a dedicated server or a VPS can even work for you if you don't need much resources.

I am with www.webhosting.uk.com they have impressed me with their quality service, just give them a shot. They offer 30 day moneyback guarantee so no worries :)

Hostgator is good. I haven't heard many complaints about them. Another good host is HostIcan which has pretty similar plans to Hostgator and good support and good reviews.

I have an IX account too I know what you mean. I'd go with HostGator over Go Daddy for hosting. Also check out lunarpages. I also have a lunarpages shared account and I'm happy with them.
