Buying Need VPS that allows Tunneling

Yup, another VPS request thread. :)

I'm currently looking for a personal VPS for myself but am needing a specific feature that I don't see discussed that often: tunneling. My local library has the most interesting filter on it and they like blocking random sites like Google, DP, my own blog and others. I just have the need to run the occasional ssh tunnel to get around the local firewall.

For reference, I am planning on setting up a WordPress Multiuser install on the account. I am not interested in a seedbox or anything along those lines. Please kindly realize that I plan on offering sites to others and complaints may be possible although they will be dealt with.

    Requirements:

    Tunneling of course.
    FreeBSD or Linux platform
    Disk space 10-20GB
    RAM 256-512MB
rDNS, either done by me or the host
2 IPs, both need to be clean and not listed on any anti-spam lists.
    Root access
A decent uptime would be nice as the last two didn't have it

Don't need a CP outside of the VPS software. Later expansion may be required.

I've gone through the previous threads and made a few contacts within the last few hours.

Please PM me so not to earn any 7 day bans. :)

    Thanks,
    -drmike

Rather not say but I don't believe either one is still active here at DP.

For reference I actually am a hosting provider but due to legal concerns with my ex fiancee, I am unable to host my own sites. Doing so may be considered additional payout from the hosting company which is not something I want my ex to use as leverage against me.

My clients actually tell me horror stores all the time but I realize that I'm only hearing one side of the discussion. I try to give folks the benefit of the doubt and use a three strikes rule before I pull the plug on using a company.

edit: Have to admit that seeing some of the pm's that I've received, I'm amazed I don't have more business. Sorry to say that but when I get a PM that starts with "Red u ad" which I gather to mean "Read your advert", I almost weep for my industry.

"due to legal concerns with my ex fiancee, I am unable to host my own sites"

    Wow!

May I use this wonderful anecdote of a totally new twist in the world of marital conflict in one of my stories :) ?

As for the confusing Text Speak, you may wish to go to this nice little site that I am about to launch:

    http://www.txtspk2english.com

Do forgive the blatent PR for the above site, but I see it as offering a really useful service in your case :)

I think you better buy a subscrition to Guardster SSH it is cheaper than running your own VPS. You will need to install the client program at your end and it will route outgoing and incoming http requests (if your library computer allows it). Or you can just get installed a VPN script in a shared host (search for tutorials) or use free VPN like aloneweb.com (you would need to install the OpenVPN client)
