Here's the story. I have an existing wordpress theme that has special functionality in it, and I would like to have it customized to look like a printed newpaper. Because the wordpress theme has this special functionality, this "newspaper" theme will need to be a customization of the current theme versus being a brand new theme from scratch. As for the theme, I want it to look as close to a real printed newspaper as possible. That means that the header should look like a newspaper masthead/nameplate, with Old English fonts, etc. Also means creating the effect of printed text on the back of the page "bleeding through", etc. Things like specific fonts for "headlines", some columns with no border, some with, etc. In other words, a complex piece of work. So, this job isn't for a hobbyist. Your major problem will be with use of fonts, so make sure your programmer or PSD to WP coder does know how to use cufon stuff. Sounds like a good creative project, best of luck.
