How are you actually promoting Shoe Metro, PPC ? Website? If you can generate 400 clicks to a shoe merchant (which is a competitive niche) Pick a different merchant. Not all merchants convert well. I have merchants I have sent 1000's of clicks to without a sale and I ones that convert like crazy.
do u mean i have to keep experimenting and blowing money with adwords? if so then i dont have that much budget...any quick way for results...as i dont get that much pocket money
If you're sure that your merchant isn't the problem, maybe you should try SEO. It isn't quick, but it won't cost you anything (except time). Go for long-tailed keywords and check out your competition before you start to optimize. To be honest, there is no way to guarantee quick profits, and if you've got a limited budget combined with limited knowledge, I really don't think PPC is the right choice for you right now. Good luck! Oh, and if you'd like to experiment with your merchant and find out which offers convert and which don't, without having to start up a ton of campaigns, there's a great tool I found on WF the other day called Cloak 'n' Switch, or something. I'll find it, hold on. Okay, here it is: http://www.warriorforum.com/warrior...k-software-saves-em-cloaks-em-rotates-em.html. It basically cloaks your affiliate links and automatically randomly directs your visitors to any one of several affiliate products/offers you've put in - and then it tracks the results for each. I don't have it, personally, because I'm not really into niche marketing at the moment, but it has great reviews and it looks good for your purposes. Link cloaking tends to help conversions, too, so that might be just what you need. Let us know how you get on.
thank u nadia but if u r an affiliate then give some ideas on building campaign successfully so it can get me results...i mean i want to learn practically ..so would that be advisable to buy perry marshaal "definative guid to adwords 2010"? will that do for me?
Well, Adwords is PPC, so if that's the direction you want to go, then maybe that would be the right step for you to take. If you're going to keep trying with PPC, I'd definitely advise you to learn a lot more about it before you continue. I don't know about Perry Marshall or his book, so I couldn't advise you either way on that one. Try to find some reviews? My suggestion would be to use SEO while you're learning about PPC - and I think that's good, practical advice. Still, learning about PPC probably won't tell you anything about how to build your campaigns. You'll need an affiliate marketing/CPA guide or a mentor for that. You won't get anywhere without learning - there are no quick ways out of this. If you keep looking for one, you'll just quit before you get anywhere. Learn about effectively preselling your products - create a review page or a "personal blog". Those are both proven to be helpful to conversions.
I have thrown money into PPC and if you don't do your research beforehand to make an educated guess on the most profitable keywords, you will just lose your money. Since then, I've shied away from PPC since I haven't made enough "other revenue" to be able to take the gamble of PPC. So, in my opinion, only experiment with PPC if you have the funds and you have a relatively good idea of what you are doing when you set up a campaign.
