hi i was looking to send marketing email to a few set of people for my new classified site targeting only india all people are from india , need some help i don't have the source of email id i have got them from few email i had received etc now some one told me that if i mail them i am spamming thier id and strict action can be taken against me so what should i do , i can planning to send it just onetime , i can put a unsubscribe link , i can use a email from my domain please help what should i do for it any other ways for email marketing , cheaper ways etc thanks
No doubt! Sending emails is spamming. But which kind of email you are sending. No one care about the email from where it is coming. Do you remember, where you signup and where not. On the other hand, you are also going to give an unsubscribe link, then what is the problem. There might be a risk and its chances are only .001% if you are in US. I think you are not from US.

If those people that you are emailing subscribed to your opt-in email list, then it's ok to send them email, otherwise it will be label as spam as someone may make complaint on you.
If you have no proof that they gave you permission, for example double optin information, to send email ads to them then it is spam. Just because you add an unsubscribe link it does not make it legal and is no protection against getting reported. FYI double optin information consists of the date and time they registered plus their ip address and email they registered with.
