Need urgent help. Is it possible to download file without using ftp?

I mean it it possible to download the backup of my site from cpanel or something else?

 

you can do it rhough cpanel via http

 

can you tell me the full procedure please?

 

Login Into Cpanel
There is an option "Backups" there click it
Then You Can See Full Backup
Then Click 'Generate/Download a Full Backup"

Yes I did that. That only creates the backup. I cant download the backup.

u can also download thru file manager in cpanel but may take some time

 

what would you do if you have multiple domains on one cpanel account and only want to backup one of the addon domains?

 

im not sure if thats actually possible

 

any suggestions on how I could transfer that domain to another server without downloading everything via ftp?

 

You can tar up the folder n transfer it to other server n un tar it there

looked in my cpanel and I am pretty sure I do not. I am going to get with my hosting provider and find out for sure. This sounds promising.

Of course if the new server I am moving the files too doesn't have ssh access will the be a waste or will I be able to extract the archive without it?

 

you can transfer the file to new host via php also and extract it via cpanel
