As you know, Blogroll links appears all inner pages or posts of sites, means you are getting more numbers of backlinks for your site. Having a bunch of links with the same anchor text screams PAID. Google dislike paid links and go against Google’s guidelines. Google may notice your site if sites links coming form excessive blogroll and may be penalize and drop. same niche reciprocal link exchange at blogroll links (sitewide) might be give good results. if you got blogroll links from same niche site, having good backlinks and PR higher than your site , then sure you get benefits.
I m agree with you (darianvictor). BlogRoll Link = Spam links So don't try to get blogroll and sidewide link for your website its harmful.
Site wide blogroll links can be the most powerful types of links you can get, if they are coming from a decent site. Loads of sites put helpful resources etc in their blogroll naturally, so getting site wide links (within moderation) will not look spammy at all. Dilute the anchor text, with other links. Nice video!
