thks for ur paid back links ..bur this is client site they are not ready to spend...any other way suggestion????
Its dependant on the power of the holder of first place. For example, under software, if you are ranked under Microsoft, then good luck getting above them. First things first. Is it possible to rank above the #1 holder? Look at their site and investigate their backlinks. Is there any more promo that you could do through other link generating and interest building sites? Have you explored Web2.0 thoroughly? There are methods that will work for ranking at #1 (check my sig for example), but at the end of the day it is about not just having backlinks targeting your site, but networking those backlinks as well. Forus on your keyword that you want to rank #1 for, and go crazy on generating backlinks. I can almost guarantee that you wouldnt have to pay a cent, maybe at most you may have to find some articles to publish or something, but its all possible. It all depends on who you are up against, and finding out what they are doing that you are not doing already.
thks mr David Jenyns..up to my knowledge i have compared the sites. #1 position website has double the index pages than my site, its would be great factor to rank #1??? no, we have done web2.0 tech..but not targeted much on that....
Although the PR is 4,what can you tell us about the anchor text composition?May be your competitor has anchor text better than urs.Try this tool and see how their links and anchor text are.If your links do not have the target anchor, that could be a problem. And in case if that is the problem, you need to get more linsk with that particular anchor: http://www.linkdiagnosis.com/
i had checked the anchor links we have targeted the keywords in anchor....but #1 site as only 1 back link though we have 10 back links, which includes that 1 back link they have. Its that Google is not looking for back links????
Ahh, another one who knows who David Jenyns is! Nice. He is a wealth of knowledge with this kind of thing, someone who I learn alot from and cant encourage other people enough to check out what he does. His methods are second to none
