How to get traffic (preferably for free) for blogger blog?

I wish I knew the magical one line answer. But I don't.

For a blog, make sure you update consistently. Comment on other bloggers with the same topics, (real comments), hope a blog of yours makes it to digg or reddit.com. Use Social bookmarking. That's all I got, good luck.

 

It depends what your Blog is about but the generally...

• Start link building.
• Submit articles to directories.
• Regularly add unique content.
• Ping
• Digg

In time all this should lead to some fairly decent organic search engine rankings, being keyword savvy obviously helps.

Join a blog chain where you post about other people's blog on your blog and vice versa.
Write thoughtful, useful, and intelligent original content.
Keep at it; show passion for your blog.

 

Try and choose a really niche topic for your blog. There are far too many blogs on the popular topics already and its a very competitive maket.

 

Junk traffic from Stumle-Upon and Traffic Exchange

 

Update your blog with unique content on a regular basis, and ping your blog whenever you update.

On top of that you should work on submitting your blog to blog directories, and submitting articles to article directories with a link to your blog in your resource box.

Forum posting works quite well also.

 

PPC is not free, but sometimes it worth of that.

 

yeah ppc might be a good way to get your blog started. maybe find forums in your niche too. if you can add any viral element, that may help (a free report on your topic, or a funny video)
