    Hi all,

Do you highly recommend anyone in these forums who is well rounded in the SEO, link building, and organic traffic generation industry? I'm pretty sure some of you may have used the one or the other guy from the DP forums in order to do some jobs related to traffic so please share your experience with those guys if you don't mind!

It would be MUCH appreciated. Thanks.

What is your site about and what is your target market? How much traffic is your site getting and from where. Also, let us know of the ways and methods you are already using to promote and get traffic to your site, so we can give more ideas.

Thanks for the input. The site is about car audio and includes a bunch of informational an totally unique articles. It has not been updated for quite a while but plans are set to hire a writer who updates the site regularly with new articles.

As for the current marketing efforts... I do literally nothing (which is subject to change). I thought of a well targeted link building campaign of related one-way links and such. Any advice of similar techniques or any other hint on what might be done is greatly appreciated.

The traffic is quite low: about 2000 uniques per month. I think this can be maximized for sure.

    Thanks again!

2,000 uniques a month is not low considering you say that your current marketing efforts are zero.

As for the link building campaign, great idea. I would sign up to relevant content forums and post some informative and useful content there, to receive some one-way-links back to your site.

Then try to google, yahoo, msn, key words of your site. Message webmasters at the top of those searches with relevant content sites for link exchanges.

Then consider some forms of paid advertising, possibly google adwords.

Also take some of (or all of) those articles and submit them to some free article submission sites.

Well I highly recommend myself, actually several of my clients highly recommend my business too :D and you can talk to them if you wish. We provide very affordable but also quality SEO and link building.

I would advise against these companies that "sell traffic". You want targeted auto type traffic don't you?

If you interested, PM me and i'll send you my site and some references.

Try PPC, very targeted and gets you a lot of traffic depending on keyword but can cost a lot( also depending on keyword).

That's true but that mostly applies to sites that sell some services or products. Although it's targeted, it's not profitable for mere information/articles sites.

Sent you a PM. I'm interested to see if you are the one I was looking for ;)

DAMN right! Content is king so this will be a requirement of course.

I got a few questions regarding your proposals. First, do you thing that a link building campaign targeted at relevant forums might be helpful for sure? I saw some companies doing that and some say that they can do more harm than any good to you. That made me think it over again.

Second, are link exchanges still that effective as they used to be or can they actually harm your site sooner or later? Maybe I find a separate company/individual for that at getafreelancer or something and look what s/he has to say.

Third point is that I think submitted the own original content on your site to other article sites wouldn't be wise since it basically would not be original any longer. Even though you retain the copyright to those published articles, the serach engines might well push you down for the reason that you distribute your own articles. It's probably a better idea to write new tips articles and publish them on other site, right? Maybe a separate blog would do it as well?
