Need to Sell 1000 DVDs - Need ideas!

    Hey everyone!
I've set myself the task of selling 1000 DVDs. This might seem difficult, but I have some very good DVDs to sell.

If anyone has some ideas, I'm all ears. Here is what I have been doing so far:

    Getting onto Newsletters
    Running competitions with movie sites
Getting our DVDs reviewed on movie review sites
Facebook competitions - facebook group of 550 people, I need to grow this as well, any ideas?
Twitter - just to generate traffic, only for one of our political movies, over 1000 followers.
Youtube - trailers of our movies, generate some interest, not that much!

Basically, I want this thread to become a checklist for people selling things online. What else can they do, not mentioned above, that isn't going to break the bank. PPC is not really a viable option, as some of these DVDs are not very well known.

What would you do. I need to reach this figure in order to receive my bonus in 5 weeks. I would be willing to do any bonus sharing ventures, as it would guarantee me bigger bonuses in the future.

    Any ideas? Any interest??

If your just selling them then places like:
    ebay
    amazon as a private seller
play.com (uk based) as private seller

do you have your own website to check out all your DVD's.
That can help also help because you can have a link on other websites that suit your needs.

Build banners (asking to take action) and advertise them on websites that pull young traffic 15-35 years male like funny images, videos, jokes etc (advertising here is also cheap)

I had over 1000 dvds to sell as well - a failed business venture.

I ebayed a lot of them but that got boring going to the post office so many times, so i ended up selling them as a bulk lot on ebay which was much easier!

I heard that you could once sell ebay account with decent feedback? not sure if you could still do this, but my feedback is not 500+ 100% positive, so you could look into that.

I think the best choice of you is making trailers of DVDs and putting them in Youtube!

If you don't care how much you will be getting for them, then eBay would be the best option for you, it costs 15 cents to start an auction at 1cent. But if you want to sell them for a certain price, then eBay would be a tough place to sell, considering that there are some sellers selling them for a couple of bucks. Although I do have had some stuff that didn't sell at a fixed price of $3 bucks, and the same exact item sold at +$25 at auction format. Go figure why.

Are they legit dvds? Then the best place to put them on is eBay, other than that host your website offshore or you'll be getting a knock at your front door =X
