I have these pics already uploaded to a pic hosting accnt so was wondering if there is any program/software that you can load the URL and have it resize and watermark? Thanks for any suggestions!
I would advise doing it all in photoshop and then re-uploading. You can make a macro easily to do that. And it takes around 2 seconds a pic on my crappy PC which is pretty fast
I use Photo Resize http://www.freeimagebrowser.com/resize/, which is a FREE batch resize and watermark utility. Photoshop works too if you want to spend $$$ for simple resize and watermark.
Yes you do have to pay but most graphics designers who are serious about their work already have it so it is just easier to not have to install anything.
Are you assuming the author is a designer? If the author was a "serious" designer, the author would NOT be asking this question. Correct? I own Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro, and use external utilities.
Batch Image Resize. Resizes images and watermarks them....in realtime. If you want the same sizes for all those 10K pictures and same watermarks....it may take you 1~5 hours depending on your RAM and PC
Imagemagick tools will do. About a 100 times faster than Photoshop. But they aren't that straightforward to use and you have to know your way around in a shell.
Irfanview: http://wpkg.org/Irfanview use Irfanview Thumbnails to resize everything Open Source and Absolutely Free
Thanks for the suggestions.. I do not have Photoshop. Also Im looking for one that allows to upload from a URL. None of the above seem to do that. Thanks
ImageMagick, as has already ben suggested will do this for free and quickly - and you can alao run it on web servers on the command-line and don't require having the files all downloaded. In fact, you can make or find scripts that will allow ImageMagick to automatically edit files you upload as well...
Try GIMP is free and can do that. Check this ulyssesonline.com/2008/09/22/batch-resize-images-with-gimp/
