    What extension are you looking for?

    Some extensions can be obtained for a little over a buck in the first year at certain places.

    It is better to register at reputed, reliable registrars.

    @runcheck

    But it will be $35 from next year if he wishes to renew....:eek:

    @ Techmaster: you can get them from name.com, they are already priced very low (only $8.99 for a .com) and by using the discount coupon IPANEMA you get a .com for only $7.95 ;)
    godaddy is also good, OYH3 coupon code will enable you to get a .com for $7.69 (initially $7.49+ 20 cent icann fee) the initial price of .com in godaddy is $9.99.
    1and1.com is not so good at support, but they have quite cheap prices for domains, .com is only $6.99 per year for first year and then from second year it is $8.99 per year.:D

    hope that helps.:)

    I think these two are some of the cheapest
    registrars there are around, saving special
    promotions from others:

    .com:

    www.internet.bs = €6.25 = $7.75

    www.bookmyname.com = €5 = $6.50

    Personally do not like godaddy but you can get .coms for 6.99, google current coupon for godaddy.

    Otherwise, name.com is 7.49 right now for .coms

    IMO.. go in for a reputed firm with Support as its not the few cents that will matter much.. The recent EST Domains case raises concerns about Resellers giving cheap Domains.. EST Domains used to sell Domains below the Cost price and had over 2 million Domain names on their platform.. They lost their accreditation due to illegal activities and had to shut shop~ Luckily the Domain names were taken over by DirectI and the Customers did not lose their Domains..
