Need to Improve the traffic - Any Help?

Hi,

I have a website with page rank 5 and my client wanted to improve the traffic. Please let me know the ways of improving the traffic to that site.

where does it rank now for your client's desired keyword? if it ranks on the top then not much to do woth SEO. but if it doesn't rank top for your keyword, then you can work on SEO to improve your SERP and you will get the traffic. you can exchange links with similar sites to see if they can send you any traffic. other way is to buy trafic but SEO is cheap. work on link building

 

Do more bump marketing..

You should have Metas, otherwise the prospective Link exchange partners might get a negative remark of your website and possibly turn out to be not linking to your site.

For attracting more traffic, I believe that the best resources are the Search Engines. Put some extra efforts at marketing/promoting your clients' website on the Search Engines.

Perform some email marketing tactics. Develop a unique and interesting sales content/mail and send that across to the prospective website audience. Invite them to visit the website.

Meta tags are no more important for SEO but more for SEM purposes.

 

what do you mean "Hafsoh", shall I go for building links with out having meta tags? Please let me know.

what hafsoh means meta tags are no more important to seo coz SE's really dont rank you via your meta tags.
meta tags are relevant on the marketing side..

meta description tag are the ones shown in the snippet for google. when we say snippets this are the description shown at the Googler Serps when searching for a site. a good description always attracts users and clicks it..it will in turn give you traffic from organic search.

for example: SMSJOCK.Com
if we look at their meta description tag it shows
<META NAME="Description" content="SMSJock your Free Mobile Marketing Solutions for Radio, Television, Brands, and Prints providing free mobile marketing services, SMS marketing, and SMS platform. SIGNING UP IS ABSOLUTELY FREE! Put the power of mobile marketing in your hands. "/>

now when we search "free mobile marketing solutions" to google you will saw the same description found at the meta dexcription tags to their snippets

having meta tags on your site wont hurt you a much..just dont spam the keywords..
the title tag will do the trick this is one of the many ways to gain traffic and enhance your serps

 

metatags will definitely improve site traffic, PR in SERP.

My Problem is "title tag is does not have any keywords that I wanted to target".

In this case, If I use the targeted keywords as anchor text for building links, does it helpful for me in getting good SERP's for these anchor text keywords.

 

well, putting meta tags is still part of the on-page optimization process. It wouldn't hurt you putting those meta tags right? So it's better to put some.. As far as the traffic is concerned, ranking in SERP's are really the best type of traffic you could get for your site, but if you don't rank as of now, better get some traffic on social bookmarking and article submissions. Quality content would be a great factor.

 

yes, putting the meta tags wouldn;t hurt anything but my client doesn't want to have any changes on the site so not able to make any changes to the tags.

for the title you should put the target keywords for your site.

also in link building you use your target keywords as your anchor text

that should do it..like my other SEO's friends told me..
"do the basic, and the SE's will do the rest"

 

if you want to improve you traffic just focus more on promotion of your site on msn and yahoo, double the task that you are doing before update your blog and site with fresh and quality content!

 

Just apply and apply link building to improve your traffic, to have more backlinks

 

don't forget to put alt text if you happen to have image on your site. it helps.
