Okay I see that the layout of your website is very simular, actually near enough the same as the other website. However by just glancing at your website, I have found a couple layout problems.

The conors on the middle content borders need to be color matching, and transparent. I am using FireFox, and these appear to look wrong and how I have just said. Also the main top banner looks blury, maybe you have saved it in the wrong format.

I am unsure I would fix these first. However in my opinion your site is okay, I have only looked at the layout. Not content. However I see that you have copied the websites layout. I believe this is to make you as popular like that website.

I would suggest creating a more unique layout, that looks differnt and could be possible better then the other layout. Coping a layout will just make you site look like a clone. People will just choose the more popular site if they see the newer ones have the same layout etc.

I haven't checked the content, however just make sure you keep the content intresting, true, and unique. Never copy another sites content, I am not saying you have. I am just letting you know.

Thats my two cents, remember thats my personal opinion. :)

Oh I see why you have gone for a simular layout, maybe you could make an new color scheme then or something instead of a compeltly new layout. Also if advertising is what you need to do, use press release etc.

There is a sticky in "Link Development" with loads of resorces on press release, and many more ways to become active. ;)
