Need to edit and shorten a mp4 movie

I have an mp4 movie that is about 11 seconds long and i need it to be shortened to 8 seconds by cutting off the last 3 seconds. The number of seconds may change as i try to make it work on http://jimb101.staging.wpengine.com in the rotating images at the top of the screen.

how do i do this or can someone help me do this?

 

Avidemux. There are plenty of cutting tutorials available all over the net.

 

Did you check fiverr? There are many gigs that offer video editing.
