I don't know if this is the best section for this, please delete topic if isn't. I'm a small time personal blogger, and won 6 months basic hostgator dedicated hosting worth $1070. I get under 60-70 hits a day and don't want to waste a dedicated server. I've got two options: 1. Should i resell it for around $800-850 at around 80% the rate to someone who wants to save a couple of bucks 2. Should i donate or sell it at dirt cheap for some open source program? can someone say what's the best price to sell it at. I really would love to get some cash to replace my aging hardware.
Another option would be to hold your own blog competition and use it as a prize. Depending on how effectively you market it - it could be a good way to get some extra links and boost your existing traffic (although that may not be all that important to you) Dylan
I would do a research right here or here and check for anyone interested in dedicated hosting. If nothing comes out, start a thread in there, and post your offer. I would also probably consider accepting monthly payments from the client since not too many fancy paying for 6 months upfront when it comes to dedicated servers. Make it affordable and you'll earn money out of the deal.
wow. I didn't even know about the hosting sell/buy forum. This can come in really handy. I'm new here and haven't checked out all the areas. I think i'll post the hosting details there. thanks
