I have a php based forum called Dragonfly that is really customized. I need to either maintain these customizations while being able to do the security and other upgrades, or (my druthers) move the entire forum to vboard. There's a script to do this but it's way over my head. It would also have to be haevily modified to match existing features and permissions. This would also require a paying member section, photo archive, on-line store, game room and about a dozen subdomains or parked domains that show our content (whatever the heck that's called). I have been through about four administrators and I'd really like to find someone full time. We usually pay piece work but there's tons of it. Plus, I'm always coming up with ideas that I want implemented. This is a financially successful forum that I want to take to the next level. What I want: Someone mature who does what they say they are going to do. Someone who does the work they agree on without me having to hear all your personal problems as you set me up to borrow money. Someone not so sensitive where I can say what I think without hurting your feelings. I'm not going to like everything you do. That's a given. As long as I'm paying we should be able to change something 3 or 4 times. Sometimes I change my mind and want to do something besides what I just paid for. As long as I am willing to pay again, this should not be a problem. Someone who can work/edit directly within the php main code. Most of my ideas and customizations exceed control panel flexibility. Someone who can add and remove and customize modules. Someone reliable, and reliable, and reliable. If interested give me a call. My number is 817.944.6442 and we WILL have to talk from time to time. I hate writing a novel via IM and still getting misunderstood. Person must be open minded, money motivated, trustworthy, and living in America. I am totally anal about minute details you may not think matter. (Just telling the truth). If this is the wrong forum for this, I looked like hell for the right one and this fit the bill over another I could find.
I had one really good one for years. He invented his own game and moved on to bigger and better things. The last two I pretty much covered in my requirements (or lack thereof). In their defense maybe they were just too young and too cocky? Age has a way of humbling you although my first (and long time) programmer was young. I just got lucky with him. I'm not an "autopilot" kinda guy. I'm always seeking better ways to simplify the experience for the surfer and stand out in an ocean of internet forums. Plus, I always have another four or five side projects going I need help on. It's amazing how long I've been in business (on the internet) and made money but actually know very little outside some photoshop and basic html. (I don't want to learn either) ;-)
