Hi guys, What I'm looking for is for a way to have a restricted page on my WP blog - so only members can access it - I want to place all my eBooks, eCourses etc., onto the one page and let paid members get access to them, with a username/password. Is there a very basic way to do this. I don't need a full-on membership site; just restricted access to one page. Can it be done via the WP Backend or is there a script or plugin that can make it look better?
I would have to poke around but there are a ton of ways to go about this such as http://wordpress.org/plugins/tinypass/ is looking pretty streamlined Everything these folks do is totally awesome http://premium.wpmudev.org/project/pay-per-view/ Huge list of stuff here http://www.wpjedi.com/how-to-sell-premium-content-using-wordpress-15-paid-content-plugins/ or here http://wpmu.org/6-wordpress-payment-plugins-for-micropayments/ that should cover it. Nigel
Thanks Nigel, much appreciated to have all those resources to look through. Thanks for taking the time and effort. Cheers, Martin
If at some point you want to move to a more in depth plugin you can try s2member - http://wordpress.org/plugins/s2member/. They have a free and paid version...both work very well. It allows for payments, coupons codes, ect.
Thanks Tarheel - Yes, I've had a look at s2member and will probably eventually go down that way - I just thought there might be something more basic out there as all I want to do at this stage is password-protect just one page.
