Need to create a Website which has photo gallery. Need help

Hello,

I have to build a website for one of my relatives. The website is pretty basic. He runs a business of Building Hardware and Cables. All he wants in his website is that the home page should have his company profile. Then a contact us and a feedback page.

However, he needs a Product page where he can show images of all the products. There would be 3 categories and each category will show the images related to that category.

He needs it to be simple yet elegant. Doesn't want to flashy or anything. Can you guys help me find a Wordpress theme or a HTML template to make this site. I am not good in designing but I can use templates and edit them little.

Really need help here. Please someone suggest something here.

If he wants to sell stuff he should go with opencart or a similar open source store. If not then you can grab any wordpress or html template. Try themeforest.net there's plenty there and great quality.

 

The best thing you can do according to me is to download any HTML template and edit it according to your requirements, and then as far as photo gallery is concerned you can download its script from internet by searching it on search engine. There are many website which provides these kind of scripts for photo gallery where you just need to edit the images (remove old images and put your desired images over there) and rest will done automatically.

 

Wordpress is definitely the way to go for your needs... It has a built in gallery function and if you added a plugin link jigoshop, you'd have an easy ecommerce solution as well. Themes for Wordpress are everywhere. Based on your description, you could probably get one for free from Wordpress.org.

 

Yes, but if so simple, why go through the hassle of using WP, instead of creating your own site from scratch. Might be less work in the long run and WP may be even more complicated for you.
