    I need to convert the contents of a DVD onto my word press blog as a video. Anyone know the best free software to accomplish this procedure?

    Do you mean you want to provide facility of ripping the DVD into video files online ??
    I do not think it is possible. Or at least it is not feasible.

    However if you just want to rip videos from DVD and post it in your blog. You need a DVD ripper software and upload your videos to a video hosting website like youtube.com

    I use Xillisoft to rip dvd's to video.

    Best way I think is if you get the "Xilisoft DVD to iPad Converter 6" which is awesome for ripping youtube compatible videos.

    It will rip a 2 hour dvd in about 20 minutes.

    You have to have FFMPEG library in your hosting and develop some script to convert video files using that.

    There are so many DVD Ripper software, like Magic and Leawo, it's the first and second recommended in Google, you can find them in Google easily. Old version of Magic had been cracked, and Leawo DVD Ripper had released the newest version recently.

    do you mean rip a dvd to video on your pc, then upload to your blog?
    if so, just google" free dvd ripper" would be okay.
    handbrake is a good open source freeware.
    shareware is also good, for their graphics card acceleration tech, about 5 times faster than free ones.
