Need to apply for ebay AND ebay.co.uk? Who knew?

I've been an ebay affiliate for over a year, and noticed this weekend I was getting 10 or more clicks per day from "invalid links".

Turns out these links lead to ebay.co.uk rather than regular ebay, and it says I have "no relationship" with the UK version. I'm in the USA, but I guess I got onto the wrong site, saw something interesting, and made some affiliate links without realizing.

Problem is, I have no idea where the links are among my 1000's of pages, or how long they've been there. CJ doesn't say where they are, but that they are getting traffic from google.co.uk. Is it possible that uk visitors are redirected to the uk ebay, and it's not something I did? Dunno.

Anyway, rather than search all my links, I decided to first try and apply for the UK ebay, thinking I'd probably be rejected, since I'm in the US.

To my surprise, I was accepted, and no longer have to worry about what happened. Seems that the UK program only pays about half of it's US counterpart, but that's still better than nothing from invalid links.

So just a head's up, if you're already hooked up with ebay, it can't hurt to look into their foreign sites.

And for anyone that gets rejected from a a "foreign" eBay site, you can always use the advanced search tool on eBay.com to select auctions from specific countries anyway, and route your visitors through eBay.com.
