You should contact your branch and request them for the swift code.

The SWIFT address is also known as BIC (=Bank Identifier Code). Please contact your bank and ask for BIC.

    Hi
I read in this section a few months back one of the DP member used near by branch's SWIFT code for withdrawing from MB to his branch. I think he is also from near by Salem or near by town in Tamilnadu. He used UTI branch of Salem Br which has the swift code. Search this payment section with options of Moneybookers+Salem+UTI or some combo of this. You may find the thread. You may consult with him on this issue.
Try a small amount bcas if its not working you wont loose more money. If its fine then you withdraw larger amount. Mb charges Rs.110 for withdrawing. And your bank may deduct rs250 for receiving foreign remittance. :)

You should use swift code of main branch. Like my branch (hdfc) is in noida, but I used swift code of new delhi main branch. I never had a problem. I have withdrawn money from MB for more than 1o times.

    Good Luck.

Thankyou Mr. Kumar. This is veryhelpful info to me. :)
In my city, all the main branchs which has SWIFT code in main business area. That was a very busy area. Traffic and parking are very pathedic and visitings are time consuming. So im planning to open a/c and use a branch near to my workplace.
