I've been on a p3 733 with a crap motherboard since a long time now. Things are really on a slow down.

My budget is a modest 375$USD (15,000 INR)

My requirements are simple - a motherboard, processor, ram & cabinet.

A little detail on my needs

    - my pc is on most of the time , so i would really require something that doesnt get hot & burn out
    - i need to have atleast 4 PCI slots
    - im not a gamer although a decent onboard graphics would be nice :)

Ive always been a pentium guy , but i dont mind amd as long as the overheatheat thing doesnt come in the picture.

Suggetions are more than welcome :)

firstly the New AMDs dont have the problem of OverHeat and all I'm myself using AMD and my pc is on almost 24/7 and my CPU temperature is always around 35-40 Degress

If you can increase your budget by more 6 - 7k (INR) you can get a great PC

    Maybe U Should go for

    AMD x64 3500+
Corsair 1 GB DDR2 RAM (RAMs are cheap these days)
    Asus M2N-MX

I got no idea about the Pricing but I think it should fit in ur budget

You have to raise your budget to little around 20000 to 22000 INR so you'll get good pc in this range.

I really want a budget pc , not something to run cad cam applications , dont think i would really need a 64 bit processor.

Dual Core processors are cheap these days, and RAM is unbelievably cheap. As for motherboard, I'm not too sure. I'm looking at a Asus P5KC, but that's pretty expensive as it has DDR3 RAM support.
