Need suggestions

The company I work for is outsourcing to a web development company for our new website. Their plans are to use ColdFusion to the code website. Having a coding background, I want to make the suggestion to be sent to classes to become familiar with Cold Fusion, so any potential problems we could fix inhouse, rather than paying for the service every time.

I'm located in the east coast, does anyone have any suggestions for a good place to get proper training?

If so, how much should this training cost?

Sorry if this was posted in the wrong section, wanted to make sure I talk to the pros. ;)

    Thank you

I'm sure you would rather have the company send you somewhere vs. online courses or reading a book, but I find I learn less in the classroom. I would recommend reading a good CF Book like forta.com and just convince your employer to ditch the office for a couple weeks.

If you're going to get training, try Figleaf Software. They offer great training courses. Straight-up players, great expertise.

I recommend LodeStone digital http://www.lodestone.com. I highly recommended them. They have certified developers who do the teaching and they are very professional. Prices aren't bad either.

However, I do subscribe to what 3Plains is saying. Get the books, but ALSO get the training if you can.
