The menu buttons don't look attractive because there background doesn't match with the bars background. I suggest making the buttons background be the same as the bars but have a black overlay with around 25% opacity. I also don't like the backgrounds of the side bar (behind "Search", "Social", etc.). I think it would look better as a solid color rather then a grainy one.
For the main content, again I suggest some sort of overlay with a low opacity. I also suggest using a different tile then the wood one you have at the header and footer.
This theme needs some work done but it might interest people if completed.

It was just an experiment. Actually I turned it into a template after creating a site for a friend who wanted something green as the body.

Yeah, I guess colour combination isn't great.

Hey rahul, I just checked your website. Seriously the green color doesn't look to good. Although it is attractive but it is toooooo FLASHY. The wooden black background looks best. Try to modify your theme with that background. Black and green doesn't have a good combination.

    Cheers mrayan.

I guess it comes across as too strong? Let's see..I don't think I will modify it. It was just created for a friend who loved it. I'm a bit busy these days with uni.

Looks like a green clipboard to me. Perhaps you should use other variation of green which is more comfortable to the eye. And maybe a white, paper look alike content would be nice.

Green mixes well with a variety of other colors. Green with some light colors like white, grey, orrange, red will make up some good combinations. The green which u have used is very strong and It has a black backgroung too. When light shades of green used with white background will will look good..

    rahul,

You need to take care of the font sizes and colors, be choosy when you use bright colors that might distract user. Also see your navigation font size it is quite small as compared to content section font, also see your banner font family it is not going with over all design, there are various catagory in design too..learn more about in www.smashingmagazine.com
