Hey All, I am on the hunt for some suggestions search engine friendly CMS's. I am new to this particular area, so i am not all certain what is out there. I imagine it varies depending on what I am wanting to do, but I'd like to get some general suggestions for systems that are built with search engines in mind. One I have found that outlines this function specificlly is CMS Buffet. Any ideas for some others? Thanks much!
Hey all, Thanks for the reply Aaron. I've been doing some research on what options I am considering and I came up with a list of possible CMS's to try out... Expression Engine http://expressionengine.com/ CMS Made Simple http://www.cmsmadesimple.org/ Ektron http://www.ektron.com/ Hot Banana http://www.hotbanana.com/ Open Source CMS http://www.opensourcecms.com/ Modx http://modxcms.com/ Joomla! http://www.joomla.org/ Express Engine is the only one out of the bunch that will actually cost money to use. It also seems to have the most robust features. I was wondering if you folks could provide any insight on these particular CMS's and how the differe from each other? Do any of them have certain features that the others do not? Thanks much, I appreciate it.
hi, you can use "WordPress" with "Google Site Map Generator" plugin for a search engine friendly site, with relative ease and with no cost at all. WordPress is free and very easy to learn..... Hope this would help
We've done a lot of work to make our CMS as search engine friendly as possible. Pure structure, lightweight pages, google sitemaps etc etc. If you can think of anything else we'd add it in but to be honest its creating and adding pages with lots of text very quickly that makes the difference. We stopped short of making it an auto site generator that just writes sites by stripping other peoples text but there are a few of those around. There is a free version as well and you can google "seo cms" to see that it works.
