Hi, I've been wondering how search engines retrieve data from website titles and apply them to rank the position of their keyword on the engine.

Currently I have a title on: http://www.ivotepolls.com as iVotePolls - Create Polls for Free! Vote Polls, Fun Polls.

It hasn't made a strong impact on my position on good for the keywords, create polls, fun polls, vote polls. So I was wondering what is a good suggestion for titles. What should be included for search engines and in what format.

    Thanks

iVotePolls - Free Premium Designed Polls.

People always attracted to "Free" stuffs. If you rank high with this, I am sure you'll get good amount of traffic. :)

The title tag is the single most important piece of SEO real estate on your site. A title tag can be as long as you want, but you only have about 63 characters before the search engines cut it off. So use it wisely.

Your title should be something like: Keyword + Call to action phrase + Keyword

For example: Discount Web Design Packages by Offshore Design Firm

Make sure you follow character limit of upto 69 characters in title tag.

    Hope this helps
