Need suggestions on my new site...?

Hi my site is 11 days old now..need to knw your input so i can improve...in this time my site has received 350 impressions approx.

 

it would help if you put a link to your site in your post...

 

I guess he is not able to put a link on his site being he is a new member. Just like me when I tried to add my link, says I am not allowed to do so

It looks alright, maybe change the simple anchor links on the left sidebar into a sidebar that uses "buttons".

There is one big thing that turned me off, the header of the site REALLY makes your site look like a "domain for sale site", I'm not sure what the proper lingo is.

 

If I were you, I'd try to organize all your pages into a better menu structure instead of sorting the pages alphabetically. Try to make categories and categorize your links.
Maybe it would be good to reduce the amount of ads a little bit, when opening your website, without scrolling, more than 50% of the content are ads (at least on my monitor).

 

Personally I'm not keen on the header.

ok thanks for your input...i will try and make some of these changes happen soon. are these changes fairly simple ? is writing unique content the best way to get higher rankings?

 

It looks like the same kind of layout as this autism site : autismkids.info , I use that just as a landing / parked page , in my opinion I dont think those kinds of auto sites are much good for anything else.
If you want to get good rankings / return traffic etc then create your own blog and add your own unique content / articles , visitors will love to see genuine unique articles and will come back again.
Its not as hard as u think and with a good niche u will reep the rewards ..

The site really looks like a domain for sale page. There is several ways you can make your site look better:

First: change the big header.
Second: All I see above the fold is adwords. Maybe you should ad some text before the big adwords group.
Third: All your links have the standard blue color. I would try some other colors and maybe try some other styles to make it look more custom build.

 

leave the links as blue. that is standard and many, many people will not know it is a link otherwise.

seems we disagree on the link colors. Which is kinda good: this shows that you need to test what works best with your site. Trial and error is a must if you want your site to appear and work for your needs. We all have different approaches and get influenced different from the webpages. Try some of the suggestions you get and follow up on the respons from your visitors.

 

ok thanks i will try to make some changes this week, im gonna focus on adsense,clickbank and commission junction. im gonna get rid of the links in the text...thanks

 

what type of header would u reccomend?

 

Shrink the header to about 120px tall or so. Add a logo top left. Add custom search (w/ adsense of course) to top right.

 

Right ok i have started to make some changes... Ive also bought a new header,Banner and logo which are being created as we speak, Also changed the layout abit. Im also gonna have unique articles posted on my site but not for a week or two until my site is good enough. Can anybody advise on what to do with the blue links on the left As they dont look profesional? Thanks

 

You have a file called "styles.css" in your "files" folder (files/styles.css). look for the style called "sidelink".

You can change these settings to make the links look different. make a back up copy of the file, then try some different settings till you are happy with the result.

 

Lessen the height of your banner, putting the name of your business and a logo will do. Less the ads and I agree with xwishmasterx in trying out different text link colors. BTW, the content is good and thumbs up on your effort. Good luck buddy.

 

Thank you thompson... Abt the ads i mean the site has been running 2 weeks now i am changing things as im jus testing the water, But i am getting good amount off clicks atm. I still have to add commission juction yet. Any extra advice would be much apprechiated
