Need suggestions on how to CHMOD a directory to 777, can't do it with my setup

    I need to CHMOD a directory/folder I created to the 777 permission.

I am having problems actually performing this modification. I am on a shared hosting plan with Go Daddy and I do not have the option to do this through my hosting control panel (that I am aware of). I could not figure out a way to do this and neither could they.

They suggested FTPing in through Internet Explorer, and if I were to right click the folder, and go to properties, I would be able to change it that way. Well, I have IE7 and apparently I don't have that feature, although it supposedly exists in IE6.

Any suggestions on how I can do this? :D

if you have SSH or telnet access - use that to chmod
    else
use an ftp client instead of IE
any decent ftp client can do chmod

You can do it with Filezilla. It's an FTP Freeware program.
To make folder with 777 permissions (although 755 is all you need normally): right click over folder and then check alll checkboxs.
And, you can use (and I suggest) Secure FTP with it.

use cuteftp , just drag and drop. Drag from the your system and drop it to the folder you want in FTP. cute ftp is far more better and easy to use than Filezilla.
