Need suggestions for my upcoming directory

    I have a webmasters resources directory and now I am going to make another web directory but this time I want my directory to be niche focused.

    Means I want to list only "Computers & Internet" related sites, not those real state, forex, business & constructions...etc sites. But only computers & internet related sites.

    I want your suggestion how I should promote my site? Should I call it a "Computers and internet directory" or "Webmasters directory" or what?

    Also, should I just list all these categories or you can refer me to some other directory that also focuses on computers and internet niche?

    better you focus what you have... directory need lot of time to understand... after your first directory have success, try to develop another one... maybe you can look your improvement after this :)

    Category structuring is something you have to create by yourself. Don't copy from another directory, because doing so would seem to search engines as you don't have something unique. It should be easy, since you already have a directory.

    there is more change of getting page rank and traffic as many as categories you have.. many directories dont have a enough categories and due to that people do not submit on those directory site.

    For category, you could breakdown from your niche "computer and internet". However your plan is good!

    I'd say 'computer and internet' is outdated. There are so many ways of accessing the internet now, probably in 5 years mobile phones will be more widely used than computers. I'd just make it the 'internet directory' and 'computers' as a category.
