Need Suggestion

I am running a Website. now i want to move my site to another host.
But this host don't providing Cpanel. Without Cpanel is it possible to download Backup (like we Do in Cpanel "Generate Full Backup").
and after buy space from there is it possible to upload backup there?

Suggestion = FTP for the files and phpMyAdmin to export your databases.

Less server load without Cpanel.

"Generate Full Backup", IMO, only works with small sites.
If you have large files, then it will not work properly.
"Generate Full Backup" is too easy to be reliable.

Without CPanel you'll have to transfer all the files over manually instead of just a neat backup from CPanel.

 

YOu forget to tell about Upload Database.
and i m running Forum and it goes to 1GB right now 257MB.

 

Using Cpanel might be a good idea for uploading smaller files for me, while ftp programs work better for bigger files.

and wht about download backup?
in cpanel we download full backup in rar file can we download full backup wia ftp in .rar file?

 

IMO, way too big for cPanel's simple solution.
See if your phpMyAdmin can handle the whole db.

Note: You might want to look for the *best* solutions, not the easiest ones.
I tried using cPanel's "backup solution" one time, on a large account. The effort was a total waste of time.

CuteFTP pro can compress the downloaded files, but it is not a free program.
Regular FTP should handle big files, or you could download folders separately.
