I have been smoking 10+ and quit half a year ago, I will share how it worked for me: I think its all about convincing yourself it is very bad for you, and by quiting you do not loose anything, but only gain, Each time you smoke, reinforce this message. After smoking my last cigarets I was always saying to myself: I can beleive how bad it is, why did I smoke it. You will be able to give up, only if you really want it, so untill you have the doubts and second thoughts, no method will work for you. Start by artificially reinforcing the message you really want to, day by day, and one day you will know! you want to quit, just imagine the joy you'll get by this achievement, it will boost your confidence massively and you wil feel there is nothing you cannot achieve.
Exactly this. Get interested in exercise/fitness. The more you care about your body the less you will want to smoke. Just the thought of smoking will frustrate you.
Distract yourself when you feel the need to smoke. Keep busy so your mind is focused on what needs to be done.
What I think is pretty effective is that you shouldn't be stressed out about stopping. Don't deprive yourself and don't think that you SHOULD stop. You just go with the flow. Whenever you think you don't have to or you know you can skip this stick for the next hour, then do it.
I am selling electronic cigarettes, honest to say, it's just a tool to help you, all it's depand on yourself.
The biggest tip and advice I can give to you is just stop. My Gran smoked for over 30+ years and one day she decided she REALLY wanted to stop and just stopped 5 years on she hasn't smoked once because she REALLY wanted it. I have other family members who have tried everything from hypnosis to tablets to patches literally everything but the key is they don't REALLY want to deep down.
How many cigarette do you smoke in one day? Just reduce the number by one. If you smoke 10 a day, then just smoke 9 for a week and then 8 the next week, and so on. But keep the number up to 4-5 per day. Then find a partner who do morning jogging. Go with him everyday. This is helpful.
find another activity for you like sport, cooking and traveling. this will keep your mind else where and you will not think about smoking
I have to completely agree with this. Started very young and smoked for a couple of decades, quit a dozen times but it never took. I even quit for two years one time, only to begin again during a period of stress and peer pressure. Got this book and haven't looked back for over a decade. You're encouraged to smoke and read and by the end, you no longer have the desire to smoke. It's uncanny. Looks at quitting completely different than what I had been led to believe. It works.
I'm also a chain smoker but it's very tough for me to quit smoking. But if you take papaya's juice daily then it would be difficult to smoke.
I love smoking. Its relaxing after a meal and it's been a morning tradition for years! When my Fiance got pregnant I had to quit. I picked up a ecig from "totally wicked". Name sounds stupid but it's legit. The first day I never knew I wasn't smoking. 3 days later my head and figertips tingled from increased blood circulation. a week later my gums were bleeding from increased blood to them. It's been 6 months and I can walk up stairs, breathe easier, i quit snoring, i sleep deeper, my eyesight got better, and I dont stink. If I'm driving and have my windows down, I can tell if the car in front of me is smoking a cig or not. They do stink and I never noticed it.
for me the most effective way was starting smoking e-cigarettes as in few monthes i started smoking them but without nicotine and then i gave it up at all! try it, hope it will help just be patient.
Hello friend, If you are chain smoker and want to stop it,then you should have electronic cigarettes,it is same normal cigarette and its no side effect on health. Thanks
