Here's what I'm trying to accomplish. I have my own business website (hosted by Network Solutions on a Unix platform). I read somewhere that hosting external feeds on your site is better to be done as a PHP as opposed to Java for SEO purposes, and since my host is Unix and can support it, all the better (please correct me if I'm wrong on any of this). As a business in the recruiting space, specifically mass hiring (call centers, large sales forces, etc.), I would like to pull in relevant news articles and/or blogs (copyrights permitting) from other sites (not my own articles) into my News section of my site. Examples would be call center-specific sites that post articles about new call centers opening across the country. Or recruiting sites / blogs that discuss mass/bulk hiring strategies and technology. Or even sites that provide really good articles on interview tips for job seekers looking for entry level or sales positions. I want to do this fully automated. I heard about this software called RSS Content Generator Premier, which I d/l'd the trial version but there are no user manuals or guides or anything that I can find, so I'm completely lost on where to start. I called their tech support, but it's one of those will-call-you-back-when-they-get-around-to-it deals which isn't confidence inspiring. Apparently it's supposed to sift through a list of sites I point it to and pull specific feeds based on key words that I program in and populates my site automatically with the new content by uploading via FTP directly to my host. All I see on the internet are guides and info about creating your own feeds / blogs and getting them out to other people or letting subscribers know via email when your site is updated, but that's not what I want to do. I'm specifically looking to pull in external feeds from other sites, and to do it automatically. Other info: I'm using Expression Web 2 as my web design tool and although I'm learning a lot every day, I'm as green as green can be when it comes to web design. Any help or pointing in the right direction would be greatly appreciated. Lastly, as a bonus question. If I'm able to do this, and visitors are able to click on these articles to read up on them, is there a way I can have them read the whole article without leaving my website or at least open a separate window so when they close it, my site is once again visible?
