Ok, I don't post in my myspace blog very often.. maybe once every two months. However, I get steady traffic to my blog every day... and I suspect it to be just one person stalkingly reading all my posts over and over. I don't have very many friends on my friends list (because I add people who are actually my friends) and I have an idea of a few people it might be. All my blogs are friends only posts so I know it has to be one of my friends reading them. I tried setting the blog to my preferred list and putting one myspace friend at a time as the only preferred user, but it doesn't work so well because regardless of whether my blog is private or not, people can visit it (they just won't see the posts) and it'll count as a hit. As you may know, MySpace is really restrictive on the kinds of codes you can put on your page and your blog so I was wondering if there is a program in existence that I can use for myspace that can pick up the ip of the user who is obsessively reading my blog. I don't post anything really particularly private... it's just weird because I and my boyfriend suspect it's one of his friends.
To track an IP you would have to have a code that tracks cookies- which is no longer allowed by myspace. but why does it matter? you know its a friend- maybe they are just checking each day to see if you've updated? make your entire profile private. make sure all your blog posts are friends only. if it still occurs, you KNOW its one of your friends. If its a friend, why does it matter?? Are you just curious who's reading it? or are you not wanting people to read a blog ( in which case, why have one?) maybe I'm missing something...
If anyone could come up with a working tool like this that could resolve the ip and tell you exactly what user is viewing blog or profiles on myspace, they would make an absolute fortune. There are tools like this offered all over Myspace but none of them work
