I had an upload script made for me here and its a great script and looks great as well, but do to PHP upload limits & memory limits with my shared host, I'm unable to use it. So I would like something that uses FTP instead as my host tells me I have unlimited upload time and space. I need it to have the ability for different people to log in with a username and password that I can create. I need them to then be able to upload data to there own area (folder) Then I need to be able to log in and see everyones folders and be able to see the data in the folders and download the data. This all has to be done with the IE, Firefox, Or safari browser, So no ftp programs. They need to be able to login then be able to browse for the data they want to upload then be able to upload it. If someone could get back to me with a price and time frame that would be great. Or if you have other suggestions. Thanks Jason
My suggestion would be to integrate a simple free java FTP client in with the PHP. Basically, PHP integrates with your web hosting control panel and creates the FTP accounts for the users, then the users can login via the java FTP client (which you could use PHP to give it it's preset defaults). That is the only way I could see this being done considering you have php upload & memory limits, and you don't want to use 'ftp programs'. if you visit www.heroicsites.ca & login using U:demo P:tester you will see what I have, This will log you in as admin. I love it other then my hosting does not allow large uploads. If possible id love to use this and implement whats needed into it. If that is not possible then I need something like it does not have to have all the same features just really needs to be able to have people login and upload large files to there own area and I need to be able to login and see each persons folders and download from them. as for budget, this is my third attempt at getting this to work each time spending more and more money, So I don't have much to work with but do need to get it working, so please be easy on me Thanks, Jason
