I just got a VPS and i can honestly say i never used one before. I need it set up to run my php script to send out a newsletter if possible. Would like if the person i choose to show me steps of how to do this myself so i wont have to bother anyone no more. And for $80+ i can get the server company to set it up, plus. The thing dont even cost mored then $15/month. lol
Yes, you're absolutely right. For $80 you can have a professional (myself or your server company) set it up. Pay some other guy $20 and risk an abundance of potential disasters. Improperly configured/setup, lack of security consciousness, install rootkit/backdoor, drops in a few backlinks from your web-site, break your VPS company's TOS, the list keeps going.
