Need someone that is good with mod rewrite

I need someone that can help me out with a small issue I am having with mod rewrite; I have experience rewriting URL's but am having trouble with this one..

Basically what I want to do is this..

username.domain.com = www.domain.com/users/username/
username.domain.com/blahblah/anything.html = www.domain.com/users/username/blahblah/anything.html

Obviously I still want the subdomain "www" going to the main site & not to be re-written.

If you can do this, plz PM me with how much - need it done ASAP.

I have confirmed that mod rewrite is working fine using the google check.

The htaccess is located in the folder:
http://www.djembefola.com/modrewrite/

In my htaccess I have this:

I have also tried variations like:

Thinking the ? may be the problem, but nothing happens as you can see:
http://www.djembefola.com/modrewrite/displaycity.php?countryname=australia&cityname=canberra

Any help would be gratefully appreciated please.
