32bit version of vista is enough for you, just get SP2 update from MS..

I'd think about upgrading to atleast 2gb for Windows Vista, although more than 4gb then you need the 64bit version I think.

    Hi my dear DP friend,

Your PC specs seems to be at limit. What kind of processor your have? On 32 or 64 bits?
You need at least 2g so your Vista can run at optimal speed.

Looking at your specs i advice you to try 32 bit first.

    with LOVE
    /jik:)

    32 bit = x84

64 bit version was made for PC's with 3 Gb and higher RAM ..

You should get a 32 bit version because you can fully utilize the 64 bit if you have at least 4GB of RAM. Beside that, not all drivers available for 64-bit version.

If you buy the retail package of Vista Ultimate it will have both versions in it, 32 bit and 64 bit. If you buy the "OEM" version, it will not. I am running the 64 bit on my main computer with 16 gigs of ram, and the 32 bit version on my secondary computer with 2 gigs of ram.
