Need some sort of helpdesk, ticket system

I manage a dozen sites or so. There seems to be a never ending list of things to do. When I worked in IT we had a help desk ticket system that would let you post a ticket and assign a priority to it and track the progress.

Does anyone know something like that for the desktop (This was not a web app)?

    Thanks

I know one of the bigger one is BMC Remedy, but if you search for helpdesk on the web, there will be a lot of softwares like this that is much cheeper then remedy, however remedy is more advanced..

    Cerberus is free and amazing.

    http://www.cerberusweb.com/

HostGator uses it to manage all their clients, and I've installed it for some clients as well.

Kayako, Cerebrus and active campaign are the good options. You can go for any of these. They have robust interface, rich features, and good support.
