Hey, I've finally set up my second blog, added some content here and there and set nearly everything up as it should be. The design is the same as my other blog (http://blog.advoor.net) but with different colors - Kinda to show that they are the part of one big network but different blogs. Looks nice. It would look better if you would change the text background to something to go with the dark outline.
I prefer the clean look of a white background with text though. I found out a lot of my visitors like the 'clean' look that a white background behind text gives them. I might try otherwise in the future but for now I plan to keep it like this. Thanks for the feedback though!
I'd pruce up the header area a little on http://games.advoor.net. Maybe a graphic logo instead of text. Add some more tab categories under logo besides just "Home" and "Register", just to fill it out if nothing else. It looks a little bare-bones. Also, I'm sure most people know that's a search box on the right but at least add a "GO" or "Search" button to it. Good luck with your site.
Hmm.. I'll see what I can whip up then seeing as thats something people seem to like. Thanks for the ideas! I'm currently making the header logo now, but not much of a designer so I'll see what I can come up with. What other tabs can I put their though? Any ideas? What about links to the game category's? Would that work? Thanks for that, i'll do that ASAP. lol, er, I'm not much into building sites for people but if you want something like my blog, I can make something; just depends how much you want to pay for it. I would change the Adsense background to white so it looks more like the content in the Categories navbar. Also, where is the audio coming from? I absolutely hate when audio starts up on a site and I can't turn it off. It is one of my pet peeves. I may be in the minority, but I would just leave your site immediately if I couldn't find it and turn it off easily. Good luck. Very nice design
The audio comes from the games embedded. I found that annoying myself so have changed the way it works. Now the main page will only show the description of the game, and a link below to play the game, so this way you wont need to load up or hear anything you don't want to. Simple As for the adverts, so far it seems the top black banner converts more, but ive changed the sidebar ads to white so hopefully they should look more like the content as you suggested. If that picks up, Ill change the top banner to white aswell. Thank you all for the comments and suggestions!
