Need some programming tasks doing

Ok I don't know much about programming but I do know there are two things I am looking to have done for a new site I am designing.

    1) Recommended Product Script

Ok for this one I want something I can either embed on my site or link to as a pop-up. It will ask the surfer a series of questions (maybe 4 or 5) and based on their answers they will get a different product recommendation.

    For example:

    Q.1) What is your age?

    Answer 1: Under 30
    Answer 2: Over 30

Answer 1 brings up question 2a and answer 2 brings up question 3a and so on until they reach the last question and a product recommendation is made. There may be up to 3 different products that they can end up at.

What kind of programming would this involve? What kind of cost? And what would I need enabled on my server, e.g. PHP, MYSQL or whatever? Are there any free scripts for this?

    2) Integrated on-site search

This will be an integral part of my new site so I am prepared to pay for it. I know you can get things like the Google search for free but I want something better than that. Something with fairly intelligent answers and something that auto updates the database and does not include external links. Something like what is offered here: http://www.focalmedia.net/fmsitesearchpro.html

I would be happy to go with SiteSearch Pro but before I do is there anything better, maybe cheaper, or can someone do me a better script themselves?

Just looking for some guidance here on both really and some ideas of costs - as I say I am not that familiar with programming so I apologise if any are daft questions :)

    Thanks in advance!

To answer your 1st question/proposition I would go with.

No I have not seen a script like this made before. I could do it for $20. All it involves is some PHP.
