Hey guys! Situation: I just recently purchased a blog from someone, and instead of zipping up the files and sending them to the buyer (me), they gave me cpanel login credentials for the site for me to get what I need. I also have the domain in my account now (GoDaddy). So everything is great, except for the fact that they didn't give me the Wordpress Admin login credentials. Now, since I was going to change the theme and everything, I'm mainly concerned about getting the existing database imported into a fresh empty one that I'm going to create through godaddy, along with a fresh wordpress install. My bottom line question is: I downloaded a backup of the database from the cpanel - can I just import that into the new database on a fresh wordpress install on the domain, and I'll have everything? Reason I ask is that I've heard that when importing a database for wordpress, it has to be set up special? For instance, I tried uploading it to another blogs database (on another domain), and it accepted it without errors, but it was automatically forwarding to the new blog domain instead of going to the test domain! Is there something in the database that I downloaded from cpanel that makes it forward or something? So lost.... If you can help, I'll pay you Thanks
