Any one have any idea how I can tell in paypal how it can give me a total of payments that went out and payments that came in? Like a total for everything so I can keep track of my income much better then what I am?
If you do an advanced search, you can sort by date or billing period then download it as an excel sheet. If you have a business account, they also offer daily accounting. It's basically where they withdrawal the day's amount into your bank account automatically and either email you or provide an accounting of that withdrawal online. Also, if you use ebay and have selling manager, you can get day by day, month by month, etc. reporting of ebay's fees, paypals fees, the payments you've received and your net profit.
I'll be honest I'm totally lost here i have money going out and coming in, but I have no idea to tell how much I'm making which sounds embarrassing I need to know this, and right now I don't have a business account. Should I just download some type of excell sheet into quicken or something. The rason I'm getting confused is because I have money going out everyday and I have it coming in from another direction. Maybe I should hire my accountant and he knows this stuff and can keep track of it?
I guess better yet i can just export an excell sheet at the end of every month, and then save it for my records. The problem is though I still got money going out, and money coming in. I need to know where my profits are, and how much money I'm spending out of my profits. Sounds complicated I know. I use my paypal account for a lot of things then I'm transferring money into my personal bank account. I guess what I could do is transfer my profits into my personal bank account each month at the end of the month. Transfer my advertising money into another bank account.
