Ok hopefully this will be in the correct forum I have been setting up a couple of my client directories the question is do you think the blog part ( uses wordpress) should have a matching template or should I just set the directory itself up as a blog as he caters to the spanish community so has sidebars that have ads plus advertises other spanish sites
if you want to add a blog to the directory, then it would be professional to have a customized blog theme that matches the directory template. i myself have been working on setting up a blog for my site matching the main site template which hasn't been easy. still need some tweaking to do but you can click on my recent blog feed to see how the blog theme matches the main site template
It's better if the themes match. It doesn't look like seperate projects or sites that way - it will flow right throughout the site and the users will feel comfortable.
thank you as thats what I was telling my client and he finally saw my point now it looks as thou I will have to convert another wp template to phpld Was just wondering if anyone can check this in different browser to make sure it looks right as I have just converted my first wp template to my clients phpld directory aquitublog.com/
It will be great to maintain a uniform theme across blog and directory. I have seen many sites having forums with a completely different theme. It works.. but for blog I think you can try to match the theme.
